Captain Joe Pistone was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Hudson Valley Region of New York. While living on coastal Maine, he spent most summer days boating to historic lighthouses and exploring many islands on the Gulf of Maine. In 2015, he relocated to Florida and enrolled into the U.S. Coast Guard’s “Captain School”. Upon completion, Salt and Mist Sea Tours was born, offering Lighthouse Tours, Whale Watching, Lobstering and Sunset Cruises in Maine. In 2017, Salt and Mist Sea Tours opened a second location in St. Petersburg, Florida offering Dolphin & Island Tours and Sunset Cruises and in 2018, Salt and Mist Sea Tours officially became a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in both Maine and in Florida. In 2019, TripAdvisor, the worlds largest travel website, rated Salt and Mist Sea Tours as the top rated Boat Tour Company in St. Petersburg, FL, earning TripAdvisors “Certificate of Excellence” award. In 2020, TripAdvisor named Salt and Mist Sea Tours the recipient of the “Travelers Choice Award”, regarding it within the “top 10% of attractions worldwide”. 

In addition to Salt and Mist Sea Tours, Captain Joe has taught General Navigation and Lobster fishing at a century old maritime camp in Kennebunkport, Maine and worked for Eco Endeavors, conducting boat tours in and around the 10,000 Islands off of Marco Island, FL. An avid traveler, he has experience boating on different bodies of water around the world such as the Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, the Java & Bali Sea, San Francisco Bay, Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, Lake Tahoe & Lake Konstanz, a lake which borders Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Captain Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from American International College and is a graduate of the “Captain School” in Cape Coral, Florida. He is an Open Water Certified Scuba Diver, certified in First Aid and CPR, holds a US Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) and is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain.





Captain Jason Henry

Captain Jason is a Florida native, born and raised in Pass-a-Grille, Florida and has well over 20 years of extensive boating experience. He is a graduate of “Adams Marine School” and upon completion, he co-founded and ran the highly successful “One Love Charters” for many years on the Gulf of Mexico. He is also a Yacht Delivery Captain, delivering over 100 Yachts up and down the East Coast of America, the Caribbean Islands and throughout the Gulf of Mexico!

Captain Jason holds a Radio and Internet Broadcasting Degree from the Columbia School of Broadcasting is a graduate of the “Adams Marine School” in St. Petersburg. Captain Jason is certified in First Aid and CPR, holds a US Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) and is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain.


Captain Justin Dunkin was born and raised in Plant City, Florida and has over 30 years boating experience on the Gulf of Mexico as well as many other bodies of fresh and salt water around the country. An avid fisherman and hunter, Captain Justin has spent his entire life in the woods and on the water and is the proud owner and operator of Wet-n-Salty Adventures, a premier Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Guide business in the Tampa Bay area. He takes a tremendous amount of pride and has amazed many customers with his extensive knowledge of Florida’s ecosystem and it’s wildlife. 
Captain Justin is a graduate of the prestigious ‘Sea School”, earning a  United States Coast Guard Master Captain Licensure. He is an Open Water and Nitrox Certified Scuba Diver with over 20 years experience, is certified in First Aid & CPR and holds a United States Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

It is a fully approved US Coast Guard Inspected Vessel, incredibly seaworthy and fitted with a deep V hull, perfect for the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
